Why

We think people want to know about events but don't want to be on major social media platforms. This was made to assist that work.

Use

Send a text with your flyer and details. It will get forwarded to volunteers based on the event location. Once a volunteer clicks 'Ok' it's up online.

Search for events by keyword, location or both. It's pretty simple right now.

Details

A plain text will work. Adding labels will help make the information accessible to everyone.

• @place - the name of the place
• @who or @what - so people can find bands and things
• @time - date and time, like Oct 31 12 AM
• @city - nearby ZIP is best. City plus two-letter state should work too
• @name - does the event have a name? this can assist screen reader navigation

All fields are optional but it helps the volunteers and makes the site more accessible.

Moderation

Generally, this is for events and we trust the volunteers.

This is going to be a work in progress.

Roadmap

On the tech side, something like permalinked filters so that a band or a venue could just link to their feed.

Also, maybe generated RSS feeds so that this rather low-tech approach could actually create a push notification.

Aside from that we just want to improve basic usability. Please reach out if you have opions or want to get involved.
